For everyone, there is an important life lesson to be learned from “Trevor the Musical,” according to Glenbrook North sophomore Carly Meyer, who has an ensemble role in the world premier production now playing at the Writers Theatre in Glencoe.

Based on the story Trevor, which also inspired the 1994 Academy Award-winning short film, “Trevor the Musical” follows a 13-year-old gay boy growing up in the suburbs in 1981, relishing his Diana Ross records, experiencing his first crush, and discovering that he isn’t really like everyone else.
