The North Shore community came out in strength in support of Northbrook-based Elyssa’s Mission, a nonprofit group that provides resources to prevent teen suicide, at its fundraiser on Aug. 30 at Arlington Park Racecourse. The event netted more than $85,000 to go toward educating schools and communities about mental health issues that affect teenagers.

Attendees purchased raffle tickets and participated in a silent auction.
