The Lake Forest girls field hockey team set a goal coming into the 2017 season: finish each gameday with a 1-0 record.

On April 18 under the lights at Lake Forest’s West Campus in a matchup against Glenbrook North, it was mission accomplished.

Controlling possession for most of the game, the Scouts (5-2) ran out to an 8-2 halftime lead and scored six of the game’s final seven goals to defeat the Spartans (4-4), 15-5.
