It wasn’t Mickey, Minnie, Donald or Goofy. Nor was it SpongeBob, Harry Potter, Lego figures or Darth Vader. The characters we observed consisted of the hybrid spring break crowd (more about that later) and humble Orlando natives. Years of retreats to Orlando have trained my eye with the ability to tell the difference between native and vacationer — not sure I am proud of this particular talent, but it is what it is. Since boys 1, 2 and 3 are not theme park people (thankfully), we are left to either lounge by the pool or sample new attractions.
