It’s not often that you can call a restaurant just approaching its third year of business a longtime local culinary destination, but when it come’s to Highland Park’s Nieto’s, it’s true.

Approaching its 33rd year in its current location at 429 Temple Ave. in Highland Park, Nieto’s spent its first 30 years of business under the name Carlos’ Restaurant, a well-respected Highland Park eatery serving high-end food in a fine dining atmosphere.
