Strolling around the natural beauty in the Chicago Botanic Garden, visitors can get lost in the serene setting, finding escape from the commotion of Chicago and its sprawling North Shore. 

Harriet Resnick, the garden’s vice president of visitor experience and business development, described the atmosphere as “vacation like,” and more realistically, a “stay-cation” since visitors often haven’t traveled more than a couple of miles to get there.
