Northbrook police responded to a call about a disturbance involving a reported fight at approximately 7:11 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, in the 1500 block of Shermer Road, according to Thomas Moore, a spokesperson for the Northbrook Police Department.

In a statement to The Tower, Moore said there was an allegation of a gun being fired by one of the parties involved during the incident.

Per Moore, there are no reported injuries from the shot and the department does not believe it was a domestic-related incident.

The department currently believes Tuesday night’s occurrence was an isolated incident.

The incident is currently under investigation.
