From Nov. 26 through Dec. 2, 1962, Northbrook was the entertainment capital of the country, as Chicago mob boss Salvatore “Sam” Giancana hosted Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. at his club, the Villa Venice on Milwaukee Avenue.
