One of Village Green Park’s most magical attractions used to be Miracle’s Tornado slide.
This postcard shows a wide-open Northbrook (later Village Green) Park as well as a sign informing residents about “Little League Base Ball For Boys.” Note the parking meters along Shermer Avenue — a short-lived experiment in 1951.
