For the fifth consecutive month, minimum wage activists showed up to continue pressuring the board of trustees to reconsider their vote to opt out of the Cook County minimum wage and paid sick leave ordinances.

Trustees opted out of the ordinances on May 23 and members from the Northbrook Working Families Coalition have been present at meetings since.

Several members from the group spoke at the meeting, saying they hope to work with the board in hopes of  reaching a solution for their concerns.
